Nepal Eco Panel Introduces Styrofoam-Based Lightweight Concrete for Flooring
Nepal Eco Panel has achieved a significant breakthrough in the construction industry with the development of a lightweight concrete for flooring, composed of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam, sand, and cement.
Bhaktapur: Nepal Eco Panel has achieved a significant breakthrough in the construction industry with the development of a lightweight concrete for flooring, composed of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) foam, sand, and cement. This innovative material, which promises to transform building practices, boasts enhanced properties and sustainability.
Er. Krishna Bhakta Duwal, CEO of Nepal Eco Panel, highlighted the pivotal role of a special Homogenizing Agent unique to their company. "The Homogenizing Agent is essential in our formula, ensuring a uniform blend of EPS, sand, and cement. This homogeneity is crucial for the performance and durability of the lightweight concrete," stated Duwal.
The integration of EPS foam, commonly known as Styrofoam, reduces the concrete's weight while preserving its strength and integrity. This makes it an ideal solution for high-rise buildings and structures where minimizing load is crucial. Furthermore, incorporating EPS in concrete offers an environmentally friendly way to repurpose waste materials, addressing significant waste management challenges.
Nepal Eco Panel is set to commence large-scale production of this lightweight concrete, with plans to supply it to various construction projects nationwide. The introduction of this material is anticipated to enhance construction efficiency, reduce costs, and improve building performance.
This development signifies a milestone for Nepal's construction sector, demonstrating the nation's capability to produce cutting-edge materials and contribute to global advancements in sustainable building technologies.
